DAYS 1 - 2, Durban, Wild Coast
Departing Durban we travel through the rugged Wild Coast, where the native xhosa people, are still deeply rooted in tribal traditions and customs. We have two nights in the charming town of Cintsa, to enjoy beautiful beaches and optional activities including horse-riding, canoeing and surfing.
DAYS 3 - 5, Addo Elephant National Park, Tsitsikamma National Park, Knysna
Addo Elephant National Park marks the start of our Garden Route journey. The park is sanctuary for cape buffalo, black rhino, antelope and elephant, much of which we hope to see on an afternoon game drive. Further along the coast we take a walk and enjoy the unique Tsitsikamma National Park where steep hardwood forests meet rugged coastline and pounding Indian Ocean. Take the opportunity to try the highest bungy jump in the world (if you dare!), before we spend two nights in the picturesque town of Knysna.
DAY 6, Hermanus
We continue along the coast to Hermanus, one of the most attractive and relaxed towns on the Garden Route. The town is known particularly for whale watching, often possible from shore, and for viewing dolphins, although this is to a degree seasonal. It is also - at any time of year - a perfect place to relax for a day.
DAY 7, Cape Vineyard, Cape Town
The Cape area is famous for its vineyards and today we visit a winery and have the opportunity to sample (and buy) the products! After a pleasant few hours we continue into cosmopolitan Cape Town, one of the world’s most picturesque cities, where our tour ends.
