DAY 1, Canoe Safari, Kakomalala

We meet our canoe guide and spend the morning being briefed and familiarising ourselves with our canoes. After lunch we take to the river and begin our paddle downstream to our island camp. The river is wide and slow moving, making our first day a great introduction to the trip.

DAYS 2 - 4, Canoe Safari, Kaliya Game Drives and Game Walk, Village Visit

We travel further down the river, enjoying the beautiful scenery and animals that we spot along the banks. We may well see fish eagles swoop over the water or hippos wallowing on the shores during our journey. We spend a night at Kaliya where we take an evening game drive and the next day enjoying a game walk, game drive and visit to a village to meet the local people. At night we sleep in camps on the banks, or on islands in the river.

DAY 5, Game Management Area

On our fi nal morning we meet our vehicles and game drive back through conservation areas and rural villages to our starting point where our canoe adventure ends.
