Day 1 - 2, Cairo
On arrival in Cairo you will be transferred from the airport to your hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure. The following day we visit the spectacular Pyramids and Sphinx, and get lost in the grand halls of the Egyptian Museum.
Day 3 - 8, Alexandria, Aswan, Nile Cruise
Today we head to the Mediterranean coast via the Coptic Church complex at Wadi Natrun. Alexandria is the second largest city in Egypt and we spend time enjoying the sights and atmosphere of this once grand city. We also include an excursion to the Kom ash-Shuqqafa catacombs, a huge Roman burial site. We then travel to Aswan where we visit the high dam, take a short flight to Abu Simbel to regale at the stone temples of Rameses II and enjoy a traditional Nubian dinner. We then transfer to your Nile cruise boat to cruise down the Nile visiting Edfu and the riverside temple of Komombo on our way to Luxor.
Day 9 - 10, Luxor
Upon arrival in Luxor we disembark our floating home of the past few days and visit the mysterious Karnak and Luxor Temples. The next day we explore the fascinating Pharaohs tombs in the valleys of the Kings and Queens including that of Tutankhamen.
Day 11 - 12, Cairo
Back in Cairo we explore the hustle and bustle of Khan al-Khalili for last minute souvenir shopping before enjoying a farewell dinner to reminisce about our journey through ancient Egypt.
