The
best game parks of East Africa - the Masai Mara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro
Crater provide memorable wildlife encounters and stunning scenery.
Day
1 - 2, Great Rift Valley, Masai Mara
From Nairobi, drive across the Great Rift Valley to the famous Masai
Mara Game Reserve where we will search for the Big 5 on game drives,
as well as the many grazing animals that inhabit the grassy plains
and acacia woodlands.
Day
3 - 4, Lake Nakuru, Nairobi
From the Mara travel to Lake Nakuru National Park where we spend
the afternoon on a game drive to encounter the rich animal and birdlife
from flamingos and pelicans to grazing buffalo and rhino. If we
are very lucky we may spot a leopard in the forest of yellow acacia
trees or a pride of lion stalking the grasslands around the lake.
The following day we make our way to Nairobi where we overnight
in a central hotel.
Day
5 - 6, Moshi, Lake Manyara
Departing from Nairobi by shuttle bus, we travel to Moshi in Tanzania
via the town of Arusha, and overnight in a hotel beneath the shadow
of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The next day enjoy an afternoon game drive in
Lake Manyara National Park, with the Great Rift Valley Escarpment
rising sharply and dramatically along the western side.

7, Olduvai Gorge, Serengeti NP
Today we head for the open plains of the Serengeti, this word comes
from the Masai word meaning 'Endless Plains', and it is these grasslands
and savannahs that ensure that the area is full of game. Along the
way we visit the Olduvai Gorge to trace the history of man.
Day
8, Serengeti NP, Ngorongoro Crater
After an early morning game drive we head out of the Serengeti to
the Ngorongoro Crater and our lodge perched on the rim of the crater.
Day
9, Ngorongoro Crater, Moshi
The crater supports one of the highest concentrations of game anywhere
in the world and a morning’s game drive enables us to see
many of the 30,000 animals that inhabit what is a World Heritage
Site. On the way back to Moshi, we pass through Masai villages where
there is the option to experience the way of life of these proud
and striking people on a cultural visit.
Day
10, Nairobi
Travel back to Nairobi by shuttle bus where this magical wildlife
tour ends.
