Uganda’s stunning game reserves and mountain scenery - an
adventurous trek but with the comfort of luxurious camps and exceptional
guides.
Day
1, Lake Mburo National Park
From Kampala, travel to Lake Mburo National Park. The five lakes
within the park attract hippos, crocodiles and a variety of waterbirds,
and we take an afternoon game cruise and game drive in the hope
of spotting the elusive leopard before returning to our tented camp
for a candlelit dinner under the stars.

2, Lake Mburo National Park
After an early morning game walk to perhaps see the beautiful sitatunga,
and unusual antelope that hides in the marshes, travel to the southwest
of Uganda and the tangled forests of Bwindi National Park.

3, Gorilla Tracking
Bwindi is home to approximately half of the world's population of
mountain gorilla, of which less than 700 survive on earth. Tracking
gorillas in their ancient home is one of the most rewarding and
special wildlife encounters in Africa, and the thrill of finding
and observing these gentle giants in the heart of the forest is
a memorable and moving experience.

4, Queen Elizabeth National Park
From Bwindi, reach the Queen Elizabeth National Park, which borders
the dramatic mist covered Ruwenzori Mountains, otherwise known as
'Mountains of the Moon'. The beautiful park is renowned for its
prolific birdlife and mammals that includes buffalo, topi, bushbuck
and Ugandan kob. The highlight here is an afternoon boat cruise
through the Kazinga Channel to experience what is though to be the
densest population of hippo in the world. This is the place to get
that photo of a hippo yawning!
Day
5, Kampala
After another early morning game drive through the grassy plains
of the park, enjoy the drive back to Kampala through Uganda's fertile
scenery where the tour ends.
