Explore
the best parks in Kenya in just 4 or 6 days - Lake Nakuru for
flamingos and rhino, and the Masai Mara for plains game
and predators.
Day 1, Nairobi
Upon arrival in Nairobi you are transferred to your centrally located
hotel where the rest of the day is yours at leisure.
Day 2 - 3,
Great Rift Valley, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru NP
From Nairobi, travel west to the edge of the Great Rift Valley
and enjoy the views of the Rift Valley lakes and Masai villages
from the top of a steep escarpment. The first place we visit
is Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for flocks of flamingos
which gather here in their thousands to feed on the lake’s
algae. The park has over 400 species of birds recorded and is
a sanctuary to the endangered white rhino that we hope to see
on an afternoon’s game drive. The next lake we visit is
the beautiful fresh water lake of Naivasha. You can see the hippos,
pelicans and fish eagles at close quarters here.
Day 4 - 5, Masai Mara Game
Reserve
We travel via Masai town of Narok to arrive at our camp in the
Masai Mara Game Reserve in the late afternoon. The following
day is spent game viewing in the Masai Mara and the park is renowned
for its vast numbers of plains game and associated predators.
Explore the breathtaking vistas, vast rolling plains and hills
of Acacia woodlands, and winding rivers full of hippo and crocodile.
The park has large populations of lion, buffalo, elephant, wildebeest,
leopard and cheetah, providing fantastic opportunities for photography.
Day 6, Nairobi
We leave the Mara and make our way back to Nairobi where our rewarding
wildlife tour ends.
