Explore
the diverse wildlife of Tanzania’s majestic game African reserves
staying in unique lodges and tented camps - the traditional classic
African safari with a touch of luxury.
Day 1 -2, Nairobi, Arusha, Lake Manyara
From Nairobi, transfer to Moshi in Tanzania arriving in the afternoon.
The next day we are met by our safari guide and vehicle and journey
to Lake Manyara. En route visit a Masai curio market. Here we
go on our first game drive hoping to see a wide array of animals
and birdlife.
Day 2 - 4, Serengeti National Park
Travel through the forested slopes of the Ngorongoro highlands
to the rolling savannah of the Serengeti. En route we stop at
the Olduvai Gorge, famous for being the site where many fossilised
humans and dinosaurs have been discovered, dubbed ‘the
cradle of mankind. From here explore the Serengeti plains, home
to a wide variety of animals and rich in predators, especially
lion.
Day 5, Ngorongoro Crater
Today we explore the floor of the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater,
home to the densest concentrations of animals in Africa, where
you’ll have every opportunity to spot the Big 5. The crater
is a World Heritage Site, and from our lodge on the crater rim,
the views in the misty mornings are awe-inspiring.
Day 6 - 7, Tarangire NP , Arusha, Nairobi
From the crater we travel to Tarangire National Park with its wide
savannah grasslands dotted with acacia and baobab trees, and
spend the afternoon exploring the park famous for its large herds
of elephant. We stay at Arusha tonight, before transiting to
Nairobi the following day.
