For those who want to travel at their own pace and stay in places for as long or short as they wish. If you are not interested in group travel or following the crowds, set your own itinerary and pace with 'My Way'. 'My Way' offers you the freedom of choice to plan your own holiday and do it yourself.

How it works is that you purchase vouchers that include one night's accommodation (twin share) and one days car hire. Plan your intended route at home and see how many days this may take, then purchase the number of vouchers required for your holiday, it couldn't be simpler.

Choosing the type of vehicle you want to 'self drive' affects the price of the voucher, as does the number of days your itinerary is. The longer the itinerary, the cheaper vouchers become.

Accommodation consists of a selection of charming hotels, lodges and guest houses found all over South Africa. We will pre book you first two nights accommodation at your first 'My Way' stops on your itinerary. We can provide you with a mobile phone for hire so you can pre book the rest of your accommodation.

We will 'meet and greet' you at the airport, provide detailed maps and a detailed brochure of all accommodation venues that are part of the "My Way"- network, the facilities they offer, their contact details etc. It is your responsibility to contact your accommodation a couple of days in advance to make sure that a room is available and secure the room with a credit card. In October, November and December, we advise that you book up to 4 days in advance.

Acacia will provide you with 24-hour emergency number, technical and logistical support.
