Uncover the secrets
of ancient Egypt in the temples and tombs of the pharohs. Extend
this tour for a few relaxing days on the beach in Dahab.
Day
1 - 2, Cairo, Pyramids and Sphinx
From the airport, you are transferred to your hotel and the afternoon
is yours to spend at leisure. The next day we explore the many pyramids
that Cairo is famous for with an Egyptologist. We visit the three
main ones and the sphinx at Giza, but also the string of smaller
pyramids and temples around Saqqara, including the Step Pyramid
- believed to be the ancient Egyptians first attempt at pyramid
building. From Cairo, take the overnight first class train to Luxor.
Day
3 - 4, Luxor
In Luxor visit the fascinating pharohs tombs in the valleys of the
Kings and Queens including that of Tutankhamen, explore the Luxor
Temple and enjoy an optional atmospheric sound and light show at
the mysterious Karnak Temple.

Day
5 - 7, Cairo, dinner cruise, city tour (CC7 itinerary days 5 - 7)
Arrive back in Cairo in the early morning and spend the rest of
the day at leisure. In the evening we board a traditional Nile River
steamer to enjoy Middle Eastern cuisine and a show of Egyptian belly
dancing. The following morning go on a full day guided city tour
to the intruiging Egyptian Museum that houses the famous King Tutankhamen
display, the imposing Citadel, and the atmospheric Khan al Khalili
bazaar. The last day is yours to relax before being transferred
to the airport for you onward flight.

5 - 9 (CC11 itinerary days 5 - 11)
From Luxor cross the Egyptian desert to Dahab, a delightfully laid
back resort on the Red Sea. We have included several excursions
during you stay here but there is also plenty of free time to relax
in the charming and comfortable beachside cafes. Excursions include
snorkelling at the famous Blue Hole, taking a camel ride out to
the Blue Lagoon for a fantastic sunset over the Sinai Desert, and
a night time climb up Mt. Sinai to watch a spectacular sunrise.
You also have the option of taking a PADI Open Water Course.
Day
10 - 11, Cairo
We arrive back into Cairo in the late afternoon and the following
morning you are transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
