Day 1 - 2, Cairo, Pyramids and Sphinx
Upon arrival you are met at the airport and transferred to your hotel where the afternoon is yours to spend at leisure. The next day visit Cairo's famous pyramids with an Egyptologist. We visit the three main pyramids and the Sphinx at Gisa, and also take in the famous Egyptian Museum, before taking the overnight train to Luxor, travelling first class.
Day 3 - 5, Luxor
In Luxor we explore the east and west banks, including Luxor Temple and Valley of the Kings and Queens. You have the option of enjoying a sound and light show at the mysterious Karnak Temple on one of your evenings here. The last day in Luxor is at your leisure before catching an overnight train or coach to your next destination. Overnight train to Cairo travelling first class.
Day 6 - 7, Cairo
We arrive back in Cairo early in the morning and after checking into our hotel we embark on a city tour. Sights include Citadel Khan el Khalili bazaar, Old and Coptic Cairo, and various mosques. In the evening we enjoy a dinner cruise on the Nile River. The following day is yours to relax before being transferred to the airport for your onward journey.
