Combine Kenya's most popular game parks with ones less known but equally as stunning and exotic. The Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru are combined with the Samburu Game Reserve. Day 1 - 3, Nairobi, Samburu Game Reserve
Upon arrival make you way to the hotel and this evening you get to meet your fellow passengers and crew at our tour briefing. From Nairobi, pass the majestic Mt. Kenya en route to the open savannah of Samburu Game Reserve. We camp in the narrow stretch of palms and woodland by the Ewaso Nyiro River which provides water for the animals and some relief from the equatorial sun. Enjoy a full day of game viewing along the river banks and surrounding scrublands with time out from the midday heat to relax. Samburu is renowned for its unusual species of animal including the reticulated giraffe, Grevvy's Zebra, gerenuk as well as good stocks of lion, leopard and elephant.
Day 4 - 5, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha
It's on to Lake Nakuru National Park to enjoy an afternoon game drive and the following day a morning safari in the park. If we are lucky we will see many species of bird including flamingo and pelican. Other animals in the park include rhino, antelope, baboon, and if we are lucky we might see a pride of lion languishing in the shade, or leopard in the acacia trees. This afternoon we relax at the nearby fresh water lake of Naivasha.
Day 6 - 7, Masai Mara
Travel south through the beautiful savannahs and plains of the Rift Valley to the world famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. Spend the next day on game drives exploring the Masai Mara. The open grassland home to a huge variety of wildlife, and the awesome annual migration of millions of wildebeest and antelope is the highlight of any visit to Africa from July to September.
Day 8, Masai Mara, Nairobi
Heading north to Narok, we stop to browse in the bustling, vibrant Masai markets to buy curios and handicrafts before continuing to Nairobi where our safari ends.
