for game spotting on foot and in a 4x4. A real bush experience!
Day 1, Mpumalanga, Klaserie/ Timbavati Private Game Reserves
All the private reserves visited on this tour are now part of the Greater Kruger National Park since the fences have all been removed, giving you greater opportunity of seeing not only the Big 5 but many of Kruger’s equally interesting animals and birds. With an early start from Johannesburg, drive through the scenic Mpumalanga region before arriving at our base camp around lunch. By open safari vehicle, enjoy a game drive on the way to our bush camp where you’ll spend the next two nights. After settling in, enjoy a game walk and a night game drive on the hunt for nocturnal animals. Seeing bright eyes in the darkened bush is a memorable experience.
Day 2 - 3, Klaserie/Timbavati Private Game Reserves
After your morning’s game walk we depart for our next camp near the Klaserie river which can be seen from the verandah of your tent. We spend two days game walking and driving in the reserve with time to relax and take in the scenery in the heart of the bush. Game viewing by foot is a special experience and if you’re lucky you will get remarkably close to the animals as you silently shadow them in the bush.
Day 4, Johannesburg
After an early morning game walk and late brunch we depart for Johannesburg where our tour ends.
