Standing at the top of Mount Kilimanjaro and gazing at the African continent is a life-changing achievement that any reasonably fit person can attempt.

Day 1, Moshi
From Nairobi travel by shuttle bus to Moshi in Tanzania, via Arusha. On arrival at your hotel our representative will give you a briefing on what to expect over the next few days of trekking the highest mountain in Africa.

Day 2 - 5, Mt Kilimanjaro Trek
There are several hiking routes leading to the summit of Kilimanjaro and they are graded by difficulty. The most popular is the 34km 5 - 6 day Marangu Route on the east side of the mountain. This is the only route that provides sleeping huts, equipped with beds and mattresses, and a small shop at most campsites. The 6 - 7 day Machame Route is probably the most scenic route to the top but it's physically more challenging with longer and steeper day treks and accommodation is in tents. On any of the routes, the last slog to the summit is demanding and you begin the final ascent just after midnight in subzero temperatures to reach Uhuru Peak (5,895m) for sunrise. At the top, exhaustion fades as the sun rises over the 'Roof of Africa' and opens up to unbelievable views of the plains below, and you will feel a great sense of achievement. You'll feel on top of the world!

Day 6, Descent, Moshi
After descending the mountain we reach the park gate, where successful climbers will collect their climbing certificate. After which we return to the hotel in Moshi for a well earned rest.

Day 7, Nairobi
Return to Nairobi by shuttle bus where the tour ends.

Extra Acclimatisation Day
If you are unaccustomed to trekking at high altitudes it is recommended that you take an extra day to attempt the climb. This must be pre booked as the number of climbers on the mountain is restricted.
