DAY 1 - 3, Johannesburg, Kruger NP
Leaving Johannesburg we visit Pilgrims Rest, and take in the breathtaking view of the lowveld which includes Three Rondavels and Blyde River Canyon. Late in the afternoon we travel to Balule Game Reserve and enjoy an open vehicle night game drive. The following day we set out on a game walk. We then travel a short distance to the world renowned Kruger National Park - South Africa's largest National Park and our time is spent game driving.
DAY 4 - 7, Mozambique, Transfrontier Park, Banhine, Zinave
Today we cross into Mozambique and follow the path of the Limpopo River venturing into the heart of true wilderness. Over the next few days we explore the wild and untouched wilderness regions on the Mozambique side of the Transfrontier Peace Park and the Banhine / Zinave wilderness regions.
DAY 8 - 9, Vilanculos
Our next stop is Vilanculos - on the shores of the warm azure Indian Ocean, overlooking the idyllic Bazaruto Archipelago, which we visit on a dhow trip for lunch and swimming.
DAY 10 - 14, Inhambane, Maputo
Our next stop is the ancient trading port of Inhambane. Clients will enjoy a trip across the bay on a traditional Dhow to this city and we spend some time exploring and visiting the bustling local market. We enjoy three days relaxing, soaking up the sun whilst exploring the deserted beaches here before we continue down the coast to the capital Maputo. Boasting a Latino culture of street cafe's, music and bustling markets we have time to immerse ourselves in the unique Afro- Portuguese atmosphere. The following day we wind our way south to the Elephant Reserve to view these magnificent creatures.
DAY 15 - 17, St Lucia, Hluhluwe, Jo’burg
Returning to South Africa today we will spend two nights at a rustic camp on our private reserve adjoining Lake St Lucia. We will enjoy game walks through the forest and experience an open vehicle game drive in Hluhluwe Game Reserve. Our safari finishes in Johannesburg on day 18.
