Experience the rich history of ancient temples and tombs while sailing down the longest river the world, the Nile. Mix in Nubian culture and you have a perfect adventure.
Day 1 - 2, Cairo, Pyramids and Sphinx
Your first day in Cairo is at leisure and the following day visit Cairo's famous Pyramids and Sphinx at Giza and the world class Egyptian Museum. In the evening catch the first class train to Aswan.
Day 3 - 5, Aswan, Felucca Cruise
Explore the sights around Aswan at leisure before visiting a local Nubian village for an insight into the life and culture of the Nubian people. You can also take an optional excursion to Abu Simbel to see the incredible statues of Ramses (own expense). A highlight of any Egypt trip is to take to the waters of the Nile in a traditional boat or felucca. Our Nubian crew members provide for us while you watch life along the river. At nights we sleep on the felucca and during the day sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery.
Day 6 - 7, Luxor, West and East Banks
In Luxor we explore the temples covered with hieroglyphics and learn the stories of the ancient Egyptian Gods in this virtual open air museum. Karnak Temple and the pharaoh's rock-hewn tombs in the valleys of the Kings are highlights visited here.
Day 8, Cairo
We return to Cairo early in the morning after our overnight train journey from Luxor. You are free to depart any time on day eight, but please arrange for departing flights after midday in case of travel delays on the overnight train. Baggage storage and transfers can be arranged through our hotel.
