The perfect two week holiday encompassing some of the best sights in Southern Africa with the convenience of starting and finishing in Johannesburg.

DAY 1, Blyde River Canyon, Animal Orphanage, Private Game Reserve, Oliphants River
Leaving Johannesburg behind we enter the land of the rising sun, Mpumalanga. Blyde River Canyon is the third largest in the world and as we view its beauty from high on a vista we can also see the lowveld of the Greater Kruger region unfold before us. After lunch we visit an animal orphanage before travelling through a private game reserve to camp on the banks of the Oliphants River. We will experience our first glimpses of animals here as wildlife come to the river to drink tonight.

DAY 2 - 3, River Game Cruise, Kruger National Park, Historical Village
We rise to the sound of nature and embark on a
river game cruise spotting many species of animals having their morning drink including hippo, elephant, various antelope and if we are lucky, lion. After a light breakfast we travel to the world renowned Kruger National Park. This is big game territory; hopefully we will see some of the Big 5 - elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and the buffalo. We spend our time here game driving in the mornings and late afternoons and get the chance to visit a historical village. We travel to the less frequented northern parts of Kruger to get away from the crowds. Whilst in the park you have the option of going on an early morning guided game walk or night drive (subject to availability, own expense)

DAY 4 - 7, Kruger National Park, Polokwane Game Reserve, Nata, Livingstone
We complete our Kruger NP experience with an early morning game drive before heading north to Polokwane Game Reserve. More than 21 species inhabit this scenic reserve and we get out and explore what the park has to offer on foot. We have a couple of days transiting through Botswana, skirting the edges of the Makgadigadi Pans and driving through Kasane. We eventually cross into Zambia and after a short drive reach our camp on the banks of the mighty Zambezi. Downstream the Victoria Falls plunges into the Bakota Gorge in a dramatic and thrilling spectacle of white water and is a highlight of any trip to Africa. Included in the tour is a visit to the falls themselves.

DAY 8 - 12, Chobe National Park, Maun,
Okavango Delta

It is a short drive to Kasane and the magnificent Chobe National Park. Here, enjoy afternoon game drive or game cruise on the Chobe River (own expense). Next we explore the immense beauty and vastness of the Okavango Delta. We spend two nights camping out in the wilderness where experienced and knowledgeable 'polers' guide you through the maze of channels by mokoro - traditional dug out canoe, and by foot on a walking safari. Try an optional flight over the Okavango Delta (time permitting), before travelling onward.

DAY 13 - 14, Khama Rhino Sanctuary, Johannesburg
Travelling further south we head towards the Khama Rhino Sanctuary. We take an evening game drive in this is a recently established reserve whose aim is to restock the area with Rhino as well as other grazing animals. We finish in Johannesburg late in the afternoon of day 14.
