The 'Big 5' in Tanzania's top four game parks in just a week - scenic natural wonders, rewarding wildlife watching and a photographer's dream!

Day 1, Nairobi, Arusha
Leave the hustle and bustle of Kenya's capital to travel through the Athi Plain making our way through ‘Masai-land’ to the busy border crossing before arriving at Arusha. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure to relax and
prepare for the following days on safari.

Day 2, Arusha, Lake Manyara National Park
We depart for Tanzania's safari capital of Arusha then onward into Lake Manyara National Park. Plains game in the park includes buffalo, wildebeest and giraffe and Manyara is famous for its tree climbing lion. Pelicans, storks and herons share Lake Manyara with migrant flamingos, which turn the crystalline edges of the soda lake a vibrant pink.

Day 3, Olduvai Gorge, Serengeti NP
On the way to the Serengeti National Park stop briefly at the Olduvai Gorge. The crack in the flat earth is referred to as 'the cradle of mankind', as a number of fossils have been discovered in the gorge including prehistoric animals and humans 2 - 3 million years old. Once in the Serengeti, stalk the animals on the grassy plains on game drives and sleeping out in an open campsite - an exhilarating experience.

Day 4 - 5, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater
One last game drive out of the Serengeti towards our campstie at the top of Ngorongoro Crater where the views from the rim are spectacular. The following day we descend into the World Heritage Park hosting the most condensed population in wildlife in Africa.

Day 6, Tarangire National Park, Arusha
For our last game viewing experience we travel to Tarangire National Park, a small park by Tanzanian standards, but with unrivalled landscape of open plains dotted with thousands of baobab trees and is renowned as being home for some exceptionally large herds of elephant - up to 300 at a time. We overnight in Arusha.

Day 7, Nairobi
Our tour finishes after a shuttle from Arusha to Nairobi, arriving in the capital in the late afternoon.
