Get off the beaten track to explore Tanzania's major attractions including Lake Victoria, Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater.
Day 1 - 3, Nairobi, Kissi, Lake Victoria
Upon arrival on Nairobi make your way to our accommodation to overnight. From Nairobi we travel west through vast tea growing regions on our way to Africa's largest lake, Victoria. We arrive here on day two and set up camp on the lake's shores, a great location from where we can explore this immense place of beauty.
Day 4 - 5, Serengeti NP
Onward to the open savannahs of the famous Serengeti National Park, whose plains are amongst the finest game viewing areas in the world with an abundance of wildlife, especially big cats. We have two days to explore this vast park on morning and afternoon game drives.
Day 6, Serengeti NP, Olduvai Gorge
We enjoy the Serengeti on a game drive out of the park which takes up most of the morning. We lunch at the park gate before making our way to Olduvai Gorge, home to earliest man before continuing to our camp overlooking the Ngorongoro Crater floor. There are sensational views from the rim and fun had picking out wildlife from dots in the distance.
Day 7, Ngorongoro Crater, Mta Wa Mbu
This morning we descend the dramatic walls of the Ngorongoro Crater, a World Heritage Site that supports one of the highest concentrations of game in Africa in a space that's only a little over 22km wide. It's the largest intact caldera in the world, containing everything necessary for the thousands of animals that inhabit the crater floor. This afternoon we camp in the market village of Mta Wa Mbu.
Day 8, Nairobi
Today we travel back to Nairobi, via Arusha, where the tour ends.
