A caldera stuffed with animals, flocks of birds on Lake Manyara, big cats on the Serengeti plains - an extensive safari of Tanzania's best parks.
Day 1, Moshi
From Kenya's capital Nairobi, travel by shuttle bus across the Tanzania border to the town of Moshi lying in the shadow of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Day 2, Lake Manyara
From Moshi, travel to the first of three magnificent game parks for three days of exciting wildlife watching. Lake Manyara National Park is dominated by the scenic Lake Manyara, while the remaining slice is marshes, grassland and acacia woodland. The high escarpments offer spectacular views of the Great Rift Valley and the park is renowned for its tree climbing lion.
Day 3, Olduvai Gorge, Serengeti NP
At Olduvai Gorge we step back in time and follow the footsteps of our ancestors who lived here millions of years ago. Onward to the open savannahs of the famous Serengeti National Park, whose plains are amongst the finest game viewing areas in the world with an abundance of wildlife.
Day 4, Serengeti NP
We spend the day inside the Serengeti, returing to camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 5, Ngorongoro Crater
Today we ascend the outer wall of the Ngorongoro Crater. The view from the rim is definitely‘photo material’ and we descend the steep access road onto the Crater floor for 2-3 hours game viewing. As the afternoon wears on we drive back up the Crater wall for our last night at camp.
Day 6, Nairobi
We travel back across the Rift Valley to Arusha in time to catch the afternoon Shuttle to Nairobi where our tour ends
