Queen Elizabeth, Lake Mburo, and Bwindi or Mgahinga National Parks. Add in the source of the Nile River and you have a complete Ugandan adventure
Day 1 - 2, Kampala, Lake Mburo National Park
Your first day is at leisure before having a tour briefing in the evening which gives us an insight into what to expect on tour. From Kampala we drive to Lake Mburo National Park to enjoy our first game drive in search of the many species of animal that make the lake's shore home.
Day 3 - 5, Queen Elizabeth NP
From here we head to the Queen Elizabeth National Park for game drives across the grassy plains and volcanic craters. Enjoy a magical boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel - the location of perhaps the highest concentration of hippo on the planet and a haven for bird life. In addition to the safaris we also go on an informative guided walk in Kyambura (Cambura) Gorge in search of a variety of primates including chimpanzees scrambling about in the dense canopy
of trees.
Day 6 - 7, Mbarara, Bwindi or Mgahinga NP
We have one last morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park before travelling to the university town of Mbarara. The next day we travel to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to prepare for our gorilla trekking expedition.
Day 8 - 10, Bwindi NP - Gorilla Tracking
Bwindi National Parks is home to some of the last populations of mountain gorillas on earth. Depending on where the family of gorillas is we may have short or long treks through dense undergrowth but the effort is well rewarded. To behold these amazing creatures is one of the best wildlife experiences on earth. We spend a number of days in the area as only a few people each day can visit the gorillas. On the days that you are not trekking you can participate in guided walks into the forest and visit a local school.
Day 11 - 13, Lake Victoria, Jinja, Bujagali Falls
We wind our way back through lush mountain scenery taking a couple of days to reach the town of Jinja on the shores of Africa's largest lake, Victoria. Jinja is the source of the Nile River, the longest river in the world and our time here is spent visiting Bujagali Falls, relaxing, souvenir shopping or for those adrenaline junkies an optional white water rafting trip on the Nile awaits (own expense).
Day 14, Kampala
Return to Kampala after breakfast where our tour ends.
