From
the adventure capital of Africa, Victoria Falls, enjoy a short safari
to Zimbabwe’s premier game reserve, Hwange National Park,
famous for its huge herds of elephant and prides of lion.
Day
1, Victoria Falls, Hwange National Park
From Victoria Falls you are transferred to the Hwange Safari Lodge
in Hwange National Park. The luxurious lodge overlooks a water hole
where many of the elephants come to drink, and there’s a viewing
platform overlooking a salt pan. A sundowner next to the swimming
pool is a fine introduction to your game viewing experience.
Day
2, Hwange National Park
Hwange spreads across 14,620 sq km on the edge of the Kalahari,
and the landscape is of mopane forests and savannah plains, and
there are a variety of pans and dams that attract game. We go in
search of some of the 40,000 elephants that habitat the park, one
of the densest populations of elephant anywhere in Africa. Hwange
is also home to lion, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra, waterbuck, sable,
impala, kudu and buffalo, and you may be lucky enough to see a pack
of wild dog trotting along in the evening out on a hunt.

3, Victoria Falls
This morning you are transferred back to the town of Victoria Falls.
