Kruger. Spot the Big 5 and explore the highlights of Mpumalanga.
Day
1, Panorama region, Kruger National Park
From Johannesburg, explore the Panorama region made famous by its
impressive mountains, lofty passes, dramatic valleys, rivers and
forests. The Blyde River Canyon is the third largest canyon in the
world and there are some fabulous viewpoints at the top, and the
Bourke’s Luck potholes are a natural feature of rocks hewn
over centuries by the movement of water. We enter Kruger via one
of the southern entrance gates where our Kruger experience will
begin on our first game drive. We overnight in one of the park’s
rest camps and enjoy a hearty dinner in the restaurant.
Day 2, Kruger National Park
We spend the day on game drives exploring the park in the hope of
glimpsing Africa’s diverse wildlife. The Kruger is home to
over 500 species of birds and 137 mammals, including the Big 5 –
lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard. The impressive atmosphere
of the park enables you to understand why it holds such a unique
place amongst the world’s great game reserves.
Day 3, Johannesburg
This morning we are up at sunrise again for an early morning game
drive on our way out of the park, and head back to Johannesburg
where the tour ends in the late afternoon.
