chameleons, 300 species of butterfly, 256 species of birds and some
very beautiful beaches.
Day
1, Antananarivo
Transfer from the airport to you hotel, and on the first evening
there is a pre departure meeting with your guide. ‘Tana’
as it’s known locally is a colourful, bustling city boasting
cobbled streets, marvellous French cuisine and lively markets packed
with local crafts.

which covers an area of 810 hectares. It is the best place to see

not to mention the numerous bird, chameleon and invertebrate species.
Day 4 - 5, Antsirabe, Ambositra,
A long driving day will take us to Antsirabe where we stay over
night and enjoy one of the many restaurants from steak houses, to
French/Malagasy and Chinese cuisine. This elegant French City is

rose, and quartz. The following day we visit the wood carvers at
Ambositra.
Day 6 – 7, Ranomafana
We travel south to the Ranomafana National Park with its impressive
waterfalls, thermal baths and a wide variety of lemur and bird species.
This is dense rainforest that is home to 12 species of Lemur including
the golden bamboo hap lemur and is also an exceptional area for
spotting the 118 species of birds.
Day 8, Fianarantsoa
We overnight in Fianarantsoa, the second largest town in Madagascar
and a maze of cobbled lanes, steep alleys and medieval architecture.
Day 9 - 10, Ranohira
The village of Ranohira is situated on the edge of the Isalo National
Park, a magical place where sandstone ridges have been sculpted
by wind and water into weird and fantastic forms. The wildlife encountered
here are the Fosa (largest mammal predator in Madagascar), the ring-tailed
lemur, Verreaux’s Sifaka and the brown lemur.
Day 11 - 13, Ifaty via Tulear
Enjoy some relaxing time at the coastal paradise of Ifaty, with
its stunning beaches and scuba and snorkel dive sites, where there
are also great restaurants that specialize in fresh seafood.
Day
14 - 15, Antananarivo
We will have a chance for a last swim in the ocean before we head
back to Tulear and await our outbound domestic flight back to ‘Tana’.
The rest of the day and evening is free to experience at your leisure
in ‘Tana’, and the following morning you are transferred
to the airport.
