safari to Kenya’s most famous park for those with limited
time or budget.
Day
1, Masai Mara Game Reserve
From Nairobi we make our way to the magnificent Masai Mara Game
Reserve that epitomises most people’s idea of “Classic”
Africa. The Mara is 320sq km of open grassland dotted with the distinctive
flat-topped acacia trees. The Mara is excellent for game viewing
at any time of year and with luck we hope to spot some, if not all,
of the Big 5 - elephant, lion, rhino, buffalo and leopard.
Day
2 - 3, Masai Mara Game Reserve
From our base camp we make the most of our time to explore the spectacular
Mara and enjoy the many photo opportunities and wildlife watching
experiences. The Mara is crossed every year from July to October
by large herds of wildebeest and their zebra friends that march
from the adjoining Serengeti National Park in Tanzania on a continuous
circular migration. The predators and scavengers follow in their
wake, relying on the huge herds for food and it’s a spectacular
sight.
Day
4, Nairobi
After another early morning game drive, you are transferred back
to Nairobi.
