Mozambique

With a tropical climate and the capital, Maputo's, street cafes, markets and night haunts increasingly buzzing with its unique Afro-Portugese vibe, its time to visit Mozambique before everyone else does. It's beautiful stretches of sands, leaning palms and colourful reefs means there is also some serious beach-time to be had here. Explore the capital, game drive through Maputo Elephant Reserve and swim with dolphins in South Africa's lesser-known neighbour.

Southern Zambia

Many people visit Victoria Falls but never see any more of Zambia. A canoe safari is a perfect way to explore this forgotten corner of Africa. Follow the waters of the mighty Zambezi as it wends its way through rural Zambia, past remote villages and conservation areas. Paddle by day, stopping to visit places en route, watch fish eagles and hippos in and around the water and camp by night under the African sky. Also consider a safari to South Luangwa National Park.

Ethiopia

This little-visited country is one of the oldest in the world. It's treasures and traditions have been preserved by its remote location and wild terrain which also means getting around isn't always easy, but is well worth the effort! Explore ornate rock churches in the mountains, discover ancient civilisations, marvel at the beautiful Simeon Mountains and relax beside Lake Tana, the source of the Blue Nile.

In the south, take a privileged journey into one of the most tribally diverse areas of Africa, the Omo Valley and meet some of the region's colourful tribes.

Active Morocco

Join us on some special Morocco tours. Travel with a nomadic Berber family on their seasonal migration either to or from the High Atlas Mountains where they go to graze their goats and camels during the summer months. Madagascar

Isolated from mainland Africa for millions of years, Madagascar is home to a host of unique species and pristine wildlife areas. Discover lemurs, chameleons and exotic plants in the rainforests of Ranomafana National Park, explore rock formations at Isalo and catch the morning calls of the Indri Indri (the world's largest lemur) as they fill the forest with their eerie wails in Andasibe Reserve.

Rwanda

Northern Kenya

While the south of Kenya is home to the fertile Masai Mara, Amboseli and Tsavo National Parks, the beautiful north is more remote and dry with desert landscapes. Check out rare species such as the reticulated giraffe and the long necked gerenuk on safari in Samburu National Park and take a boat out on the 'Jade Sea', beautiful Lake Turkana and meet the colourful local tribes who live in this remote terrain.
