This ‘Call of the Kruger” tour is a classic camping adventure safari in South Africa’s premier Kruger National Park, experiencing a face to face encounter with some of Africa’s most renowned wild animals, including the Kapama research centre for the rehabilitation of cheetah, as well as breathtaking views and famous sights in Mpumalanga
Day 1 Johannesburg - Kruger National Park / Guernsey
Departing from South Africa’s “city of gold” (Johannesburg), we drive across the scenic Mpumalanga province, through Blyde River Canyon and stopping at the gigantic Three Rondavels rock formations. After lunch, entering the Greater Kruger Park region we visit a cheetah rehabilitation centre, where volunteers rehabilitate cheetah and other wildlife. We enjoy the evening staying the 3 nights on a private reserve camp within Greater Kruger
Day 2 & 3 Kruger National Park
Each day, after a light sunrise breakfast, and again after lunch, we explore Kruger National Park from the comfort of an open game drive vehicle encountering many species indigenous to this region, including the Big 5. Late afternoon we have the option to join a night game drive either on a private reserve or in the National Park. After dinners, evenings are spent sharing stories and experiences around the warm glow of a campfire.
Day 4 Kruger National Park, Johannesburg
After our final breakfast, we depart Mpumalanga province for Gauteng province, relaxed and rejuvenated, arriving in Johannesburg during the late afternoon, where our tour ends.
