A short 5 day tour highlighting Chobe National Park and Victoria Falls. Family and solo travellers welcome.
A fantastic sunset cruise down the Zambezi, watching hippos wallowing in the water, followed with a safari in Chobe national park, renowned for its elephant population.
Day 1
Victoria Falls
From Victoria Falls airport you are transferred to your guest house and in the late afternoon we enjoy our first night on a sunset cruise on the upper reaches of the Zambezi River. Sundowner in hand, look out for wildlife on the river banks and witness your first dramatic African sunset – a fabulous introduction to the Zambezi.
Day 2
Victoria Falls, Zambezi Rafting or Canoeing
There are two options of activities today. The first is to immerse yourself in the foamy rapids of the Batoka Gorge on a thrilling white water rafting trip. Experiencing grade 4 - 5 rapids with names like ‘Oblivion’ or ‘Devil’s Toilet Bowl’ you experience some of the best white water in the world! Alternatively enjoy the quieter waters of the Upper Zambezi, on a canoe safari spotting wildlife both in the water and on the river banks.
Day 3
Chobe National Park
We cross into neighbouring Botswana and enjoy a day in and around Chobe National Park, famous for its diverse concentration of wildlife including elephant, hippo, crocodile and lion. After a morning game drive there is time to take a swim and a relaxing lunch, followed by an afternoon cruise on the tranquil Chobe River. We return to Victoria Falls at the end of the day.
Day 4
Victoria Falls
We enjoy a day at leisure. Relax, browse the popular market for souvenirs or try one of the many optional activities on offer such a horseriding, scenic flights, elephant safari, gorge swing or bungy!
Day 5
Victoria Falls NP, Transfer to Airport
Visit the Victoria Falls themselves: one of Africa’s natural wonders. When the river is high be prepared to get wet! Arrangements end with your transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
