Masai Mara Safari with Acacia Africa

Day 1 Great Rift Valley, Masai Mara Game reserve We leave Nairobi and drive across the Great Rift Valley, where traditional Masai settlements and lakes, inhabited by thousands of flamingos, dot the valley floor. There is always plenty to see as the landscape changes and we are welcomed by locals with the greeting ‘Jambo!’ In the afternoon we arrive in the famed ‘Mara’ and venture into the Masai Mara Game Reserve for our first game drive and wildlife encounters.
Day 2-3 Masai Mara Game reserve
We now begin two days of game viewing in the Masai Mara. The Mara encompasses many people’s ideal of Africa: rolling green hills, vast open horizons and plains stocked with wildlife. Game drives here give us ample opportunity to search for the ‘Big Five’ – leopard, lion, elephant, rhino and buffalo – as well as numerous grazing animals such as wildebeest, zebra and giraffe. The region is also home to good stocks of hippo and crocodile in the Mara River and an enormous variety of birds.
Day 4 Nairobi
We leave the Mara and drive back through Narok, stopping to admire the colourful local markets, before continuing to Nairobi where our safari ends.
