Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe
Hwange National Park is the premier, and largest national park in Zimbabwe. Covering an impressive 14,600 kilometers squared, it is situated on the road between Bulawayo and the Victoria Falls.
Hosting 105 mammal species, Hwange is the only protected area where gemsbok and hyaena occur in reasonable numbers. The population of African wild dog is also thought to be one of the largest surviving groups in Africa.
