Antelope Park Private Game Reserve, Zimbabwe
The Antelope Park is one of the highlights of Zimbabwe’s Midlands region and is located just south of the small central town of Gweru. It’s the world’s first lion breeding and rehabilitation project, and its aims and mission is to protect, release and rehabilitate lions back into their natural wilderness habitat. There are a number of great activities to enjoy here, including ‘walking with lions’ - a unique opportunity to interact with 2 or 3 juvenile lion cubs on a walk through the bush as they play and practice their stalking. You can also ride an elephant, and possibly don a swimsuit and swim with them, as well as explore the park on game drives or on foot to see various other mammals and birds.
