The Blyde River Canyon (recently renamed the Motlatse) is the 3rd deapest canyon in the world. It is ranked as one of the most spectacular sights in Africa with great escarpments and fresh mountain sceneries with magnificent panaramic views over cliffs rising 600m - 800m from the river bed.
