Morocco, Marakesh, Rabat, Chefchaouen, Fes, Sahara Desert, Essouira
Day 1 – 4 Marrakech, Rabat, Meknes, Chefchaouen, Volubilis
After a free day in Marrakech we depart for Casablanca where we have the option to visit Hassan II mosque, the third largest mosque in the world, before staying overnight in Rabat. The next morning we explore the capital and the afternoon is free to explore another Imperial City – Meknes. We next head to white-walled town of Chefchaouen to discover its Kasbah and Berber heritage and a little south the Roman ruins of Volubilis.
Day 5 – 7 Fes, Midelt
Fes is the oldest and largest medieval city in the world. We enjoy a guided tour exploring the tanneries, souks, potteries, and the Medina. Away from the hustle and bustle of Fes, Midelt in the Atlas Mountains is a perfect place to relax.
Day 8 – 12 Sahara Desert, Todra Gorge, Ait Benhaddou, Essaouira
Heading towards the desert we transfer by camels for a night at our Berber Camp under the Saharan stars. Leaving the desert, we move on to Todra Gorge. This 1000ft gorge is hemmed in on all sides by vertical limestone cliffs. We next make the short journey to Gorge du Dades, a green and fertile valley then on to Ait Benhaddou for a tour of the famous Kasbah. Heading back to the Atlantic coast we enjoy two nights in chilled out Essaouira.
Day 13 – 15 Marrakech
Back in Marrakech our time is at leisure. No visit to the city is complete without a visit to the city’s UNESCO-listed Medina & Djemâa-el-Fna market place. Your tour ends after breakfast on day
